Radiology
Radiology department is a major diagnostic department comprising two main sections, one is X-Ray and other is Ultrasound. This department has been developed according to the recommendations of Pakistan Nuclear Regularity Authority (PNRA) Islamabad. The walls and doors of X-Ray room are lead lined for the safety of staff and public. A led protective shield is also present in X-Ray room for the safety of technicians. Lead aprons are also available. This department is also attached with Pakistan Institute of Nuclear Science and Technology (PINSTECH) for radiation dose measurement of the staff. The staff of this department is qualified and fully trained. There are two X-Ray units used, one is 640mA DRGEM Korea as a main unit and the other is 100mA Siemens portable unit for bed cases. We have a color doppler ultrasound machine MINDRAY DC-30.
Services Available
Two types of services are provided in this department:
X-Ray
- All routine X-Rays are done except contrast studies
Ultrasound
- All ultrasounds scans are done including transvaginal scan (TVS) and color doppler scans
- The USG guided aspirations are done under the supervision of referring doctor
Note: CT scan and MRI are not available in this department.
